WHO WE ARE 

We are the Insurance Brokers & Agents of San Diego (IBA of San Diego), having served the interests of local Independent Insurance Agents since 1934. As our industry has changed, so have the projects, involvement and goals of this association.

As a member of IBA of San Diego, you automatically become a member of the Insurance Brokers & Agents of the West (IBA West) and the Independent Insurance Agents Association of America (IIAA), the largest state producer association and the leading country-wide voice of the American Agency System.

In Sacramento, the IBA West is known as the most respected and powerful insurance producer representative. Strong state leadership has established effective lobbying concerning issues most important to the health of the independent agent.

Education is a major objective of the Associations. On the state level, we offer half and full day seminars in various cities, that meet the accreditation requirements set by the Department of Insurance for Continuing Education. We participate in the Insurance Educational Association programs and sponsorship of the professional designation of AAI. We also present the best multi-day, high level Advanced Agency Management Conference in the nation.

The San Diego Association actively participates and supports all of the above efforts and, in addition, conducts regular continuing education sessions. Greater San Diego Insurance Day (I-DAY) is the largest one-day trade fair and seminar in the State of California. Our Group Medical plan is highly competitive, as well as the State Group Disability, E&O, and Life programs. We have supported local organizations such as the San Diego Safety Council's Stamp Out Crime Committee, the San Diego Fire Department's S.A.F.E. Program, the San Diego Child Care Coalition, a junior high school level essay contest, and the Insurance Vocational Education Student Training program (InVEST) at both the high school and college level.

We stand ready to meet the challenges of both the present and the future through involvement in both our profession and community.

MISSION STATEMENT

IBA of San Diego is a group of local insurance professionals dedicated to upholding the ideals of the American Agency System. Our Association is founded on mutual respect and support of its members. Through our Association, members will access information necessary to further their business. The continuing work of our Association benefits our members, the insurance industry and the community at large. We stand ready to meet the challenges of both the present and the future through involvement in both profession and the community.
