| The Andrew H. Ekern Award was established
in 1965 when a local independent insurance agent, Andrew
H. Ekern, became concerned about citizen apathy and its
direct influence on the rapid increase in crime in this
nation. The Stamp Out Crime crusade resulting from his
efforts has spread to many California communities, to
neighboring states, and to cities across the United States.
This award is given as merited by your Association to
an outstanding insurance agent who has contributed his
time and talent to the community and industry.
